About Do Makes

Welcome to Do Makes — a creative space built by our family, now based in Central Virginia.

Our story began with my in-laws, a talented artist couple from New York City. Their beautiful paintings capture the essence of life — drawing inspiration from nature, emotion, and personal experiences, all crafted with years of skill and passion.

At Do Makes, we’re dedicated to sharing our artistic journey and the warmth of handmade creations with you. Each piece is a reflection of our family’s love for art, creativity, and the beauty of everyday life.

Thank you for visiting and being part of our story. We hope you find something here that brings inspiration and joy to your space.

With love,

The Do Makes Family

ANGELO FRANCO

Angelo Franco is a distinguished visual artist whose work encourages audiences to view the world through an emotional lens. With over 45 years of painting experience, his artistic journey began at the Art Students League in New York City from 1976 to 1980. This dedication quickly resulted in his first sale and a network of private collectors, while also fostering a lifelong partnership with his wife, whom he met in the art studio.

The nature and innovative spirit of artists inspire Franco’s creations. His artistic process blends instinct and emotion, rooted in sharp observation while aiming to surpass the visible. Franco’s artwork captures fleeting moments, weaving complex narratives that balance harmony with chaos.

For him, art is more than a career; it’s a lens for understanding the world. His pieces, treasured by collectors, resonate deeply with those seeking visual and narrative richness.
